Prior to day of your commercial move, Allstate Moving will be in direct contact with your company’s move coordinator. Whether they be a facilities manager, office manager, relocation manager or whomever you assign to be your company’s liaison, they will be contacted by a designated Allstate Moving representative assigned to your move. Our representative will be able to answer any concerns or questions you might have about your company’s upcoming move. The representative who is assigned to your account will listen to exactly how you want your company’s move completed.
They will work with you to solve the important planning questions, establish a time table for your move and develop a floor plan for your new facility.
How much packing do you want your employees to do themselves?
Your designated representative is available to come to your business and meet directly with your employees to teach them how to pack anything you want the employees to pack themselves. Some businesses prefer Allstate Moving to pack the entire business thereby freeing their employees from this task. Other companies prefer to have their own employees pack only their own desks or work stations and still other businesses have their employees do all the packing including packing their warehouses, libraries, file rooms, etc. If you decide to have your employees do the packing for some or all of your move, prior to the move day, we’ll deliver the boxes and packing materials you’ll require. Part of our job is to provide you with the tools to decide which route is best for your business and best for your budget.
Allstate Moving will help your business stay organized even while in transit. Before the move, Allstate Moving will request a floor plan of your new facilities. Working together we will assign numeric or alpha names to different designated areas of your new facilities and we’ll use that floor plan as a basic guide for your move. Allstate Moving will provide you with special labels which are color coded and can be used in conjunction with your assigned names. Each item to be moved can be assigned a unique number on the color coded label and then on the floor plan we can indicate where you want that item to end up at your new location. These labels are especially designed for moving. The labels are secure enough to stay in place while in transit but will not damage the finish of your office furniture when they are pulled off at the end of the move.
Prior to the day of the move, Allstate Moving will talk directly to the building management of both the building your business is moving out of and the building your business is moving into. We will be certain to understand their requirements in order to secure a smooth move for your business on moving day. We will direct our insurance company to provide each of the building owner’s management teams with a certificate of insurance with their names as additional insured.
